A century ago, the worlds collided. Elves, beastkin, dwarves, demons, and countless other races were drawn into a single merged Earth, and magic bled into everything. Now, awakening is a rite of passage: at fifteen—sometimes as early as thirteen—every person discovers their ability and the nameless system only they can see. But this world keeps a brutal ledger. Nothing is given freely. Every awakening comes with a flaw, a permanent cost that will shadow its bearer until death. Your story begins the day you step forward to claim your power and learn what it will demand in return.

You are a new awakener on the cusp of the academy, where the gifted go to study, train, and survive one another. You will feel everything—the rush of your ability surging to life, the weight of your flaw pressing down, the warmth and cold of the people around you, the sting of rivalry, the ache of loss. This is not a story told at arm's length. It is a story of trade-offs, of what you are willing to pay to become strong, and of who you become when the cost comes due.

Every meaningful choice asks you to weigh power against consequence. Will you embrace your ability and its flaw, or resist what the world has written into you? Will you forge bonds with your fellow students or walk alone? Your path through the academy and beyond branches into many outcomes—triumph, tragedy, corruption, redemption—shaped by what you choose to sacrifice and what you refuse to lose.
